Now this is a news. I got this new laptop recently and believe me for a low budget medium level daily use laptop that’s a pretty good deal. Its touch screen and windows 8 can be a new experience in all. But here i am not going to give a review of the laptop. there are plenty of them already.

So just after buying, it started giving a weird problem, the wifi connection, yes, the wifi connection just kept on disconnecting. First I thought this was a comcast issue and in fact gave a complaint call to them, they checked and found nothing. in return they showed other devises like tab and the phone giving perfect wifi connectivity. So the problem was the laptop. I was disgust. A new laptop and within few days this frustrating issue. thought of availing the return policy.

while i was searching for the exact route, cause and solution of it. i found on internet that this was a common issue, not with the laptop but with windows 8. Well its not a bug, but a setting, or may be over advance drivers.

On a positive note, i got this issue fixed, of course by searching on net and with some my own research. what you need to do is, change some settings. which is given over here.

So first i did all that was mentioned over there and restarted my computer.

At first it didn’t work. I was frustrated as hell but not defeated yet. Next i did this –

Click Windows Key + R, type devmgmt.msc,
expand network adapters,

Disable all of them, apart from ‘Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter’

once done, right click on  ‘Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter’ and do a ‘ROLLBACK’

Restart computer.

Viola, after this wifi only disconnects when comcast goes down. Problem solved.
